Xylo-oligosaccharides regulate microecological balance in the body(double barrier theory)
Xylo-oligosaccharides selectively proliferate beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in the body, promote the colonization and proliferation of beneficial bacteria; form a dominant flora and inhibit the adhesion of harmful intestinal bacteria.
During the proliferation of beneficial bacteria, a large amount of short-chain fatty acids are produced. As the concentration of short-chain fatty acids increases, the pH value decreases accordingly, inhibiting the growth and reproduction of harmful bacteria.
